Summary

Brian has wide experience with a variety of organisations including building and civil engineering contractors, building services contractors, onshore and offshore oil industry contractors, oil companies, developers, retail organisations and consultants and has worked at a senior and director level within these organisations. He has substantial experience of construction contracts in the UK, Middle East and Far East and has worked with a diverse selection of contracts and nationalities.

Brian is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 44 years experience in the industry and was elected a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1969.

Brian now specialises in the provision of contractual and commercial advice and assistance to all parties in the construction industry, including advice on the prevention, negotiation and resolution of disputes. He has been involved in mediations, arbitrations and litigations and has experience of drafting points of claim, defence, replies to defence, requests for and replies to requests for F&BPs, etc, for formalisation by solicitors and counsel. He also has experience as an expert witness and is a practicing member of the Academy of Experts.
