Summary

Ivan is a chartered quantity surveyor specialising in construction dispute resolution. Many years' experience in pre- and post-contract cost management of a diverse range of building projects and consultants' commissions is foundational to his expertise in addressing contentious quantum matters.

He has been instructed as an expert witness and is highly accomplished in preparing expert reports for use in international arbitration and the Courts and in providing expert advice for mediations. Ivan is active in undertaking forensic investigations, compiling advisory reports, preparing or defending contractual claims, and in all aspects of construction adjudication, both representing parties and assisting adjudicators.

His clients have included commercial organisations, insurers, contractors and lawyers, and matters in dispute have ranged from negotiated issues on small residential refurbishments to complex contentious issues on major construction projects.
